Internship Program
An internship with Giffels Webster is more than just a steppingstone; it’s a gateway to your professional career. As an intern, you will become an essential part of our team, gaining the foundational knowledge and experience needed for a successful professional journey. Our interns tackle real projects that challenge and inspire. You’ll gain valuable experience working on active projects, preparing you for a seamless transition into a full-time role.
Over the 12-week program, you’ll collaborate with team members at all levels, gaining industry insights and exposure to various aspects of civil engineering, community planning, surveying, landscape architecture, and GIS. This program is designed to provide you with hands-on experience, mentorship, and opportunities to contribute to real world projects that shape the communities we work in throughout Southeast Michigan. At Giffels Webster, we are committed to helping you lay the groundwork for long-term success.
Working with the professional staff in our office, you will assist with various tasks and duties designed to utilize and develop your professional skills and knowledge. This will help you apply what you have learned in the classroom to a real working environment. This will also give you the opportunity to add valuable experience to your growing resume and get paid, while doing it!
Requirements:
- Cumulative overall GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Willing and eager to learn from peers and on the job.
- The ideal candidate will possess the ability to work as part of a team on various projects and assist a wide variety of client types from architects, developers, property owners and real estate professionals.
- Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills and technical knowledge, problem solving and analytic skills.
