Giffels Engineering Company Founded

Elmer Giffels establishes Giffels Engineering Company, beginning a tradition of community-focused engineering excellence.

1956

Formation of Giffels-Webster Engineers

Frank Webster joins, and the firm becomes Giffels-Webster Engineers, strengthening leadership and civil engineering expertise.

1990s

Expansion into planning, GIS, and landscape architecture

Throughout the 1990s, Giffels Webster broadens services to support complete infrastructure and community development needs.

2004

Expansion into Washington and Birmingham Offices

The firm grows its footprint across Southeast Michigan, opening offices in Washington and Birmingham.

2016

Acquisition of Clearzoning

Giffels Webster acquires Clearzoning®, boosting community planning and zoning expertise for municipal clients.
