This year, we proudly celebrate 30 years of serving the City of Detroit, marking three decades of projects that have helped shape the city’s growth and renewal.
From our early days downtown to our vibrant headquarters on West Adams Avenue today, our Detroit team has been part of the city’s ongoing story of transformation, collaboration, and community pride. Our journey stands as a testament to lasting local impact.
We first opened our Detroit office in 1995 at 407 E. Fort Street, planting roots in the heart of downtown at a time when the city was beginning a new era of reinvention. In 2010, we moved to 28 West Adams Avenue, where we continue to collaborate on projects that strengthen neighborhoods, improve infrastructure, and create welcoming public spaces.
Over the years, we have worked alongside city agencies, developers, and community partners on projects that reflect Detroit’s unique spirit, a blend of resilience, creativity, and optimism. From streetscape improvements that make neighborhoods more walkable to park and greenway designs that connect residents to nature and one another, our work has helped transform how people experience the city.
From iconic landmarks to neighborhood revitalizations, our impact can be seen across Detroit’s evolving landscape. We have had the privilege of contributing our expertise to some of the city’s most transformative projects, including Little Caesars Arena, City Modern/Brush Park, Orleans Landing, Hudson’s Detroit, Michigan Central Station, Campus Martius, and the Wayne County Criminal Justice Center, as well as residential and mixed-use developments such as Elton Park, the Tiger Stadium Redevelopment, Garden View Estates, Woodbridge Estates, and Cornerstone Estates, along with Jefferson Village and St. Anne’s Gate. Each of these projects demonstrates our dedication to creating functional, beautiful spaces that serve both people and place, turning visionary concepts into thriving, lasting communities.

Our 30th anniversary in Detroit also reflects our broader commitment to community-focused design. Across disciplines including civil engineering, surveying, planning, landscape architecture, and GIS, we bring together expertise that supports both the everyday and the extraordinary. Whether enhancing local streets or shaping major redevelopment sites, our approach emphasizes sustainability, collaboration, and long-term value for the community.
As Detroit continues its exciting momentum, we remain dedicated to being part of the city’s next chapter, helping create places where people can live, work, and thrive.
Here’s to 30 years of partnership, progress, and pride in Detroit, and to many more years of building a stronger, more connected city together.
